Musing from a contemplative mind....

Saturday night my brother-in-law (who is the pastor of a church plant that has about 40 people) says to me, "Our worship leader bailed on us, would you be our worship leader this Sunday."  I laughed, because I really thought he was joking.  So after a couple of seconds, I realized he was not joking.  I told him that I had not done anything like this for six years or so.  Shortly after that I was on the phone with their guitar player, he told me that he had not played guitar for two years...The Bible says to be instant in season and out of season. That means to be ready to minister when you are not "prepared" to do so.   Pardoxical, yes?   Impossible, no?  Ya know what, I think it went pretty well - nobody threw tomatoes or anything.
