Musing from a contemplative mind....
Sunset
Writter's note - These are four independant people looking at the same sunset
She looks outside her window. She is reminded of times past. It seemed like the world was their ballroom and everyone just watched them in awe. How could two people have been so happy and content? How did that change? It takes her back to a time when her life was simpler and everything made sense.
As he waits, he looks outside the window at another picture perfect evening, reinforcing something he knows all too well. He hopes that he will share moments like these with that someone, someday... A moment later an attractive young woman greets him warmly. His response is familiar to them both. "Table for one, please."
They don't speak a word as they watch the strength of the day give way to the night. They realize how lucky they are to have each other to share moments like this. Their only wish, that tomorrow was just like today.
The years have gone quickly they think to themselves. They have lost count of the number of days they spent together like this. Some grow tired of the sameness and predictability, but they understand something those people don't. Days like this are a reminder the struggles, the victories, the complexities and the simplicities. More importantly, the days they shared outnumber the days that lie ahead. So they stop and watch nature's wonder holding tight to the past and tighter to each other.
