Musing from a contemplative mind....
The Atheist
I spoke with an atheist recently who asserted that there is no God. I explained intellectual, observable and existential proofs why there was a God and he scoffed. Then I asked him the question, if you had an epiphany and you became completly convinced that there was a God, would you serve Him? He responded and told me, no I would not. That is the problem; its not one of belief, its one of will. Given all of the facts, it will not sway you, because you don't want to be swayed. You don't believe in God, because if you did you would have to be accountable to the belief and the reality of that belief. Years from now you may have this same conversation on your death bed and your will shall be different. For you I hope that God's will will not be.
