Recently I witnessed a situation where one person told another person that they would do something, and then changed their mind. The reason why they changed their mind is really irrelevant, because they committed to something. A wise man once said that my word does not change just the circumstances that surround it. Or simply put, do you keep you word only when it is convieient, or when is serves your purposes? If so then you should not be offended or otherwise put off when someone questions your integrity, because you have revealed that you are willing to go back on your word when the mood suits you. When you keep your word you instill trust in people that when I says something that is a dependable as the money in my wallet. As sure as I can count on it having a value, I can be sure that when this person gives their word that I can count on them.
We don't realize it but our word defines who we are, and exposes who we are not.
