Musing from a contemplative mind....
Your fantasy or mine?
The date that commemorates Jesus birth is fast approaching (while in reality the time of Jesus birth was probably around April, not December, the fact of his birth is more at issue than the timing of it) and once again there are people who want to experience the joy of Christmas and yet deny the purpose of the holiday itself. To conceptualize that Jesus was born of a virgin is pure nonsense, it is not possible, it can't happen. These are the same people who stand guard by the theory of evolution and laud it as scientific and academically viable. Let's be completely honest here; no matter what side of the street you wish to live on you must exercise a measure of faith. If you believe in the virgin birth than you believe in God who has total creative liberty who has chosen to do something that is impossible by our own estimations. If you believe that the earth was set in motion by a world-shaking bang and that man exists because of some primordial slime then your assertations are religious by nature, you too have faith in the unseen. So was Jesus born of a virgin? Did we evolve from mud? Did God speak the world into existence? Did the world become through some cosmic collision?
Can you have vision but no eyesight, or have a song but no voice? Not everything is rational, not everything is verifiable, not everything has to be.
It all sounds pretty fantastic doesn't it?
